HSBBA Mission Statement:Businesses that rely on the residents of Horseshoe Bay for their livelihood are automatically a member of the Alliance. Residents of Horseshoe Bay are invited to become resident members of the Alliance to meet and mingle with various member businesses during Alliance events and to automatically receive notification of event dates, locations and times. There is never a fee to join, there are no dues to be a member and no charge to attend any event of the HSB Business Alliance. We encourage businesses to sponsor one or more of the 30 events the Business Alliance presents each year. It’s about people getting to know each other and the business community serving Horseshoe Bay.

On August 30, 2022 Mayor of Horseshoe Bay, Cynthia Clinesmith, dedicated last year’s Citizen of the Year Award winner Jim Jorden the permanent placement of the Citizen of the Year plaque at City Hall. Jim Joins Louraine Robertson (2017), Dianne Jones (2018), Mary Daniel (2020 & ’21) and Jim Jordan (2022). Each year, The Citizen of the Year award is presented to that individual who best represents the qualities each of us admire and respect among our friends, neighbors, and associates.

Many consumers have suffered sticker shock at the grocery store due to record high inflation. But another surprise that’s grabbing consumers’ attention — and even trending on TikTok — is “shrinkflation.”
