|CITIZEN OF THE YEAR Don Eckelbarger The 6th annual Horseshoe Bay Citizen of the Year2022 was awarded Monday, December 5, 2022, during the Annual HSB-POA Holidays party in a special HSBBA presentation recognizing six nominees: Vickie Adcock, Beth Dop, Don Eckelbarger, Sherry Olson, Wayne Ratisseau and Willie Reinders. The 3 finalists are shown in the photo to the right. Don Eckelbarger (middle) is flanked by Sherry Olson (left) and Wayne Ratisseau (right). All nominees are respected and distinguished with this Citizen nomination process and award. It is a way we can show our appreciation with a resounding ‘thank you’ for helping. Please watch for the Dec 8th edition of The Beacon newspaper for a more in-depth report. Don joins previous recipients Louraine Robertson 2017, (dec) Dianne Jones 2018, Mary Daniel 2019 & 2020, and Jim Jorden 2021 as recipient of the 2022 Citizen of the Year Award. A tribute to 2018 Citizen of the Year recipient Dianne Jones was also presented at the award ceremony. Dianne passed on November 19, 2022. Dianne was the 2nd Citizen of the Year. A Memorial Service is being planned for Dianne on January 14th.|
